I must admit I didn't realize this Polly Pocket set attached to the wall. My daughter saw it and just wanted the "mall". When I opened the box I was surprised to see so many pieces, and had a moment of panic. However, I decided to try assembling it, and was surprised it went together fairly easily, maybe twenty minutes. Finding a place on the wall in the playroom to hang it took longer. It's suggested to use a three foot x three foot area. It attaches with three Command strips on the back, of which I was hesitant, but did anyway. It is a beautiful set, the blue is eye-popping and happens to match the silk curtains hanging right next to it. My daughter loves the fact that the doll came with suction cup shoes, and they fit all of her Polly Pockets, those with narrow feet and wide feet. It allows the dolls to stand up on the product. My eight-year-old daughter has been a Polly Pocket fan since she was three and keeps all of her Polly Pockets organized in a large drawer which she dips into often to play with, especially when she has friends over. These on the wall Polly sets are actually quite cool and provide a unique playing experience for Polly fans. This set does require some assembly but it is easy enough and the 3M Command strips that come with the set makes attaching the set to the wall pretty easy (also easily removable without causing any damage to the wall). It took my husband and daughter about half an hour to set it up but that was mainly because my husband tried to get my daughter to put most of the pieces together! There is even a large foldout instruction sheet that is in color and makes it all the more user-friendly. Cute set!
Snow White is a favorite movie in our house, and this doll does not disappoint! And what you get, for the price is (if you get it in stores) fantastic! You get a Snow White doll, a picnic basket (with a cute illustration of the toddler princess on the front), a rabbit, a blanket, a carton of apple juice, a glass, a fork, a spatula (correct me if I got that wrong), an apple with a bite in it (how ironic!), two sandwiches on a plate, and a pie (probably apple) divided into four separate pieces in its own platter. The dress that the Snow White doll comes in with this set is NOT the same dress as the basic Snow White toddler doll, and, in my opinion, a better one. Also, I love how they have the food separate (not all clumped together, or stuck to its plate), but they probably can get lost easily that way. This is a great set to get for a princess fan, a Snow White fan, or just someone who wants to have a picnic with their doll!

My little almost three year old is a little on the tomboy side, so she is kind of picky about these roll play toys. This one is more like a boat and pretending at the same time. It fit her personality well. She actually made it into a water toy on her water table. The big boat does not float, but she tried. Then she poured water on it. Then the big boat was used as a boat in the water. She did have a hard time with getting the little parts to work since she's a little young. This has made for a LOT of playtime. It's rare that a toy grabs her attention as much as this one has. It's more because she uses it ouside in the water. She loves water skiing with the doll and such.

My eight-year-old daughter has been a Polly Pocket fan for several years now so she was super excited to receive this playset. The set up out of the box was really easy and I think this playset makes for a great summer toy. The little boat can be attached to the rest of the 'yacht' and looks like one big yacht, but it can also be opened up to reveal a sort of island retreat with two attached plastic palm trees and several accessories such as a deck chair, a BBQ grill that flips, a beach umbrella, and little fashion accessories for the one blonde-haired Polly doll that comes with this set. We love the quality of calico critters. I couldn't get myself to buy a cheap toy like pretty pony and littlest pet shop that is more fun to look at in the packaging than to play with. However I really broke our budget outfitting our 3 year old with enought furniture and dolls make this fun. If you have th money go for it but plan to spend 400 dollar to get enough of a set. Customer review : By far the COOLEST Calico Critters house--great for imaginative, creative fun
We gave this to our daughter (3.5 years) for Christmas, and while it was definitely pricey, it has been well worth it. She LOVES the treehouse and plays with it for hours. Personally, I think it is way cooler than the other Critters houses (i.e. the town home or the country manor) which, while adorable and full of great C.C. detail, are basically just dollhouses. The treehouse lends itself to a whole other level of imaginative play, and contains lots of cool bells and whistles like the slide and the little pond with the canoe, or the trap doors in the porch that enable the critters to climb to the other levels, or the gazebo... and hey, the critters even have a hot tub! Cute house, but very flimsy with tiny pieces
My almost 3-year-old daughter has been having fun with this castle. It's good for pretend play. She loves to put the Barbies to sleep before she goes to bed at night and she brings other small dolls into the castle to play as well. If you are looking for a smaller and less expensive dollhouse, this might be an okay choice.

My three-star overall review has to do with two things. First, the construction of the whole toy is pretty flimsy. It snaps together fine and was reasonably easy to put together, but all of the pieces are very thin and seem like they could break very easily. For instance, normal play causes the chair legs to come off on a regular basis. The pieces that are like stands for the fairies to attach to and rotate around don't even snap in, so they come out constantly.

More importantly though, some of the pieces are extremely small - we're talking microscopic. We decided just to not even put out some of the smaller stuff like the little cups...

My daughter got this for her 6th birthday. It's her first doll house and she's been enjoying it a lot. Her 9 year old brother put it together for her... took him about 10 minutes. It comes with two dolls, that can fly on top of one of the towers as well. It comes with beds, a table and chair, and other small accessories. Of course, everything is plastic. It's small enough that my daughter can cart it around.. but the negative of the small size is that pieces can be lost. All in all, though, a fun first doll house.

Customer review : The cover on the box is misleading.
First I must say that the gift was for my granddaughters and they love it. Second I must say that my complaint is not the quality of the Mansion, nor is it the people from whom I purchased it. It is that one of the photos shows a house full of furnishings and I just learned from my granddaughters that there were only two people included in the house and no furnishings. In fact they were on their way to purchase some settings for the house. It seems to me that, quality of product aside, there should be an indication that the house is empty! Playmobil is expensive, we have purchased a number of their products for our grandchildren, but there have always been what I would say complete sets. That is not the case with the Grand Mansion and I think people should be aware of this. Perhaps simply removing the large covering that shows a child playing with the house full of furnishings would settle my concern,since also on the cover is a picture of an empty house.
